What is Title VI?

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states that “No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance” (42 U.S.C. Section 2000d).

If the complainant disagrees with GoTriangle’s determination, the complainant may request reconsideration by submitting the request in writing to the Director of Equal Opportunity, Diversity and Inclusion within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the closure letter or letter of finding, stating with specificity the basis for the reconsideration. GoTriangle will notify the complainant of the decision to accept or reject the request for reconsideration within ten (10) calendar days.  In cases where reconsideration is granted, GoTriangle will issue a determination letter to the complainant upon completion of the reconsideration review.
